Once during a performance of "The Marriage of - Who Else? - Figaro," there was even an impromptu shotgun wedding.

This caused a great deal of excitement, both on and off the stage.

While humans have the show biz tradition, "the show must go on," felines follow the more basic (and sensible), "I have better uses for my nine lives than risking one here."

Nobody was injured, but the audience was greatly disappointed as evidenced by the lack of additional boot and shoe tributes.

The place got such a bad name it hasn't been used to stage a musical since.
