GlennaJo was really crabby about the tree when she got home.

No, not all that nagging I wrote about yesterday. That's normal around here.

She really flipped out when she saw the tree lying on its side with ornaments spread out all over the room (many squirreled away where she can have the joy of finding them throughout the new millennium).

I tried to point out that the braces on the tree stand, not to mention its circumference, were clearly inadequate to withstand the impact of a 20 lb. cat traveling 30 mph on a horizontal path (just check any physics text).

But she was obviously in no mood for rational discussion.
