Cat's Log Friday, December 17, 1999 By far my favorite winter pastime is water sports.
"But cats hate water!" you say? Au contraire. A cat's paw is an excellent tool for moving water. Felines are unsurpassed in splashing skills, as anyone who has attempted to bathe one will attest. A really accomplished cat such as myself can use his paw to project water upward from his bowl three feet into the air, resulting in a puddle in the middle of the kitchen floor. If this is done before noon, all evidence that the water originated in the bowl will evaporate by the time your attendant gets home, leaving an isolated pool of water. This provides an opportunity for her to develop her intelligence by trying to solve the mystery. They're so cute when they're puzzled. |
