Cat's Log Thursday, December 2, 1999 I've begun to notice that the temperature goes up a bit right before GlennaJo gets home.
Every day an hour before she gets home, the furnace revs up. It's totally delicious. I lie down in front of the vent and luxuriate in its gentle breezes. However, I'm concerned about the apparent double standard which says the house must be warm for GlennaJo, but can be cold for me and the Prinbrat. I've even heard some humans refer to keeping the house cold as a method for encouraging the growth of a rich, thick coat. I think if the coat belonged to them, they'd be a bit more generous with the heat. Maybe if I get really, really close to the vent, my coat will absorb ALL the heat and it will be mine instead of GlennaJo's. |
