Cat's Log Tuesday, November 16, 1999

As you may have noticed, flabby cats are very rare.

Martial arts exercises.

You certainly won't see one at my house.

For felines, exercise is constant. You humans have probably noticed us stretching when we walk. (No, we don't do it more often when you're waiting for us, that's all in your imagination.)

But stretching is just the tip of the iceberg. Today's picture demonstrates an exercise from the ancient martial art of Kung Fe.

Many have also seen us doing repeats of wrist exercises while we nap. Humans tend to interpret this as dreaming, but actually it's part of our constant state of preparedness.

And daily chewing of liver treats is an important exercise to ensure healthy feline jaws.
