Cat's Log Monday, January 31, 2000

I've decided being the missing link is far too primitive for me.

I'm gonna get GlennaJo for this.

The elegance and dignity of a feline are beyond compare and a prehensile tail adds nothing of value.

GlennaJo's corner: I was laughing so hard I forgot to snap a picture, but Prince's "great triumph" went like this:

The leap toward the shower rod was executed flawlessly, propelling him a good 5-1/2 feet above the floor. Unfortunately, his tail was not quite prehensile enough and failed to grasp the rod firmly, leaving him in a trajectory that could only end in a high speed nose to wall encounter.

To prevent this impact, Prince reached out with both front paws and grasped the rod briefly until his 20-lb bulk became too heavy during one of his outward swings.

As his paws finally lost their grip, Prince executed a most inelegant belly-flop into the toilet bowl.

There's nothing more pompous than a thoroughly wet cat pretending to be dry.
